Swept up in the subprime lending debacle that is roiling the housing market in the United States, Cynthia Barret McGowan lost her home to foreclosure in May 2008. By the time she filed for bankruptcy, all her savings were lost.
The stress of the situation hastened the decline of Cynthia’s health and resulted in frequent trips to the hospital and additional financial strain on the family.
By September 27th, 2012, Cynthia’s body couldn’t take the stress of the treatment.
